Costs explained

Modified on Wed, 12 Mar at 9:44 AM

A key part of the UPowr experience is ensuring that our quotes cover all of the foreseeable costs required to purchase and install your system. To keep things simple, we bundle all of the costs associated into one full price. See below for a breakdown.

Full price

This is the full price for your system, including GST. This price includes both the solar system hardware (panels, inverter, mounting systems and electrical consumables), and the Wattle Powr service fee for the design, installation, commissioning sign-off and warranty for your solar system. We’re transparent about this fee being 15% of the full price, with the remaining figure reflecting the hardware cost of the system itself.

Less STCs (Small-scale Technology Certificates)

The STC rebate is then subtracted from your full price. This rebate is exclusive of GST (unless you are a registered company), and is calculated based on your location, installation date and the solar system energy output in kilowatt hours.

Less government rebate

Depending on your location, a number of state governments have solar rebate schemes available for solar installations. Depending on the scheme available in your area, we deduct the rebate amount from your total price if you are eligible to receive it.

Total

This is the amount remaining of your full price, after deducting the STCs and other rebates/loans (where eligible). It includes GST.

Deposit (for customers purchasing the system directly)

To start your installation process, we ask that you put down a $2,000 deposit. This amount is deducted from the price you pay after the system is installed.

Monthly repayment (for customers purchasing the system through a green loan)

This is an estimate of what your monthly repayment cost will be based on the term you set and the rate card we receive from the finance provider. It is an estimate only and should be confirmed independently as you complete your loan application.

Remaining balance

This is the total amount remaining after the deposit has been deducted. Once your system is installed and commissioned, we charge this amount from the credit card used to pay your deposit.
